Résidence Les Rubans

As the Mayor wrote, "Valdoie is proud to host the most beautiful EHPAD in France." What an EHPAD!!! Worthy of a 5-star hotel, but make no mistake, there's only the facade, the reception, and the price (€3,000 per month). When you go up to the floors, it's another world. Unless you're at least somewhat independent, things change as soon as you become dependent. The care leaves something to be desired. Lack of staff or staff who have no business being in an establishment like this. It's as if working in an EHPAD has become a dead end for some. In my eyes, it remains a vocation. For my part, my mother stayed there for 4 and a half months. Luckily, we, her daughters, were there every day, every weekend. We thought we could be at least a little more peaceful by placing our mother at the Rubans, but the reality was quite different. Unfortunately for us, our mother died there recently. The cherry on top of the cake, among many others: on the very day of our mother's death, still in bed and barely cold, we were given a certificate of inheritance for payment. Where is the respect? The next day, when we went to empty our mother's room, we found the place intact from the day before: dim lighting, air mattress still in working order, sheets our mother was in still in bed, right down to the chin strap that kept her mouth shut, lying on the nightstand. I'll let you imagine the emotional shock we suffered. Afterwards, we received a wreath, a condolence card, and noted the presence of the director and health manager at the funeral... but none of this will erase what we have been through for four and a half months. Whenever there was a problem, we approached the director and health manager to discuss our concerns and observations. But it was to no avail. We would like to thank Sabryna, secretary, who is a gem, but also the Animation team and some of the nursing assistants: Corinne, Lola, Radija, Sagida, Séverine, Christelle, Mona, Sofia who do their work with professionalism and with their heart.

Absolutely horrible, understaffed. Hygiene is questionable and the food is of very poor quality. Management is absent and never responds to concerns. It's a disgrace for the price. If you value the dignity of your loved ones, RUN AWAY from this nursing home, which is nothing but a profit-making machine.
