EHPAD - Résidence La Petite Maison

Hello, I would like to share my experience as a relative of a resident at La Petite Maison in Chevry-Cossigny. My grandmother lived there for several years, and I couldn't be more grateful to the entire team. She was truly happy there, surrounded by kind and caring professionals in a warm and welcoming environment. The support is remarkable: a large staff who truly take the time with each resident, a director with a very open mind, always attentive to the well-being of the elderly; it's not just a place of care, it's a real home! Animals, a variety of activities, convivial moments like family barbecues, open and honest communication with loved ones… everything is designed to make residents feel at home, and this is evident every day. Special mention goes to the food, which is excellent—Grandma loved it, and that meant so much at her age! She was smiling, she was fulfilled, and she was able to spend her final years in a trusting environment, with dignity, affection, and respect. For all of this, thank you. Amandine.

RIGHT OF REPLY! Mr./Ms. MAZALAIGUE, Your mother left our facility six years ago. It's fair to say you took your time writing this "glowing" review! I agree that your mother's care by the staff was very difficult, as she was completely opposed to placement because YOU took so long to acknowledge her distress and understand her wish to spend her final days in her native country. Your mother's unhappiness is certainly not the fault of our facility. You dare to draw a comparison with the "Les Fossoyeurs" scandal, a book or documentary in which the journalist denounces serious failings in the facilities of a well-known group: rationed diapers and food, acts of mistreatment... Or do you see a parallel with La Petite Maison? The care team of 12 people (for 18 residents!) is caring and supportive. Our residents benefit from comfortable and high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment with rigorous and impeccable hygiene. Our premises are clean and smell pleasant, and the food is home-style and plentiful. Saying anything and everything from behind a screen in the name of freedom of expression has limits that must not be crossed, because I maintain that your allegations are false and slanderous; they constitute public defamation, which is punishable by law. Benevolent and remarkable all these staff dedicated entirely to the cause of the residents but also loved ones. Competence and professionalism are essential. I wish all readers to know this place and this staff very attached to human and respectful values. A big THANK YOU to everyone for your dedication to our seniors. I validate the other opinions which are very well written and accurate except for one. I would like to point out that for my mother's entry, the Director had clearly informed me that the establishment did not take people suffering from Alzheimer's disease, La Petite maison being an open and full-service establishment. Don't hesitate. Pure happiness for my mother who benefited from it for two beautiful years!

I just watched the documentary "The Gravediggers" and it reminded me how unhappy my mother was in that institution. Fortunately, we were able to take her to another facility in Germany, and my mother lives there with dignity and is very well cared for at half the cost...
