In terms of respect for the individual and the caregiver-to-patient ratio, it's very good. The rates are very high, but the care was of high quality. The care team, both nursing assistants and nurses, were respectful, attentive, and seemingly gentle. The facilities are pleasant for a nursing home, and the environment is welcoming. The reception staff were always kind (including the other staff members), even during my loved one's death and despite their specific wishes regarding the handling of their body. It's a shame there aren't more like this... and especially not more affordable! But it was the price to pay for a minimum of dignity at the end... even though dignity shouldn't be priceless. However, I'm deducting one or two stars for the management: although they were kind and listened carefully to our very clear requests regarding end-of-life care, we experienced some disappointments. The first point: - The excessive COVID lockdown, despite my loved one being terminally ill. We were only allowed 30 minutes once a week. We only gained 24/7 access a few days before my loved one's death, when he was in a coma. (This was despite our doctor requesting uninterrupted access due to the imminent death.) One might think that COVID imposed strict rules that everyone had to follow, but it turns out that a family was visiting their loved one every day, even though he wasn't terminally ill… This left a bitter feeling… Perhaps my profession, which is highly exposed to COVID, unofficially disadvantaged me… Perhaps there are special privileges for some, for reasons unknown? Perhaps it's a misunderstanding…? The second point: Regarding end-of-life care, we were promised top-notch services with all the necessary expertise and equipment. Unfortunately, I think there was a misunderstanding between the two parties (even though we were very clear, especially since I work in the field), and I had to pull out all the stops to get the appropriate therapies implemented, respecting my loved one's wishes… When your loved one is dying, it's already difficult enough, so one would expect a smoother process and respect for their wishes, as close as possible to what is written and as close as possible to what exists in France in 2020… Furthermore, I felt there was still a certain reluctance to use some of the medications designed to alleviate suffering… Of course, much has changed since the death, and the overall care was truly excellent, with kind and smiling staff day and night. It's a nursing home I would still highly recommend!

I highly recommend this facility. My brother stayed there for two years. The caregivers are wonderful, and the administrative staff are welcoming. There are activities, the facility is very pleasant, and it's well located. I thank the staff of the Genets unit for taking such good care of my brother. Thank you.

This nursing home is truly top-notch in terms of the quality of life it offers its residents with Alzheimer's and similar diseases; activities and care are readily available.
