EHPAD - résidence Albodi

Working in this nursing home, I wanted to share an insider's perspective. Nothing is perfect here, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise, but what is certain is the daily commitment of the staff. The caregivers, nursing assistants, and nurses do their jobs with heart, professionalism, and deep respect for the residents. Every day, despite the challenges, they give their time, listen attentively, and show compassion. The head nurse is tirelessly working to improve working conditions and care, as is the management, who are aware of the issues and committed to a process of improvement. Rome wasn't built in a day, but the efforts are real, consistent, and moving in the right direction. This facility is also a team effort in the broadest sense: the occupational therapist, the coordinating physician, the housekeeping staff, the kitchen staff—all the employees contribute to the well-being of the residents. Everyone, at their own level, plays a vital role. I am convinced that when families, caregivers, and management work together, through dialogue and trust, truly wonderful things can be achieved. This nursing home is not a perfect place, but it is a vibrant place, inhabited by dedicated professionals who do their best every day to provide dignified care for our elderly residents.

"When something is good, it's worth saying." Like everyone else, I wanted to find the best possible nursing home (with a secure unit) for my wife (considering cost, staff, activities, and facilities). After a month, I found this gem: ALBODI in Bardos! First, the staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, cheerful, and pleasant, showing great care and patience towards the residents of this unit. The facilities were impeccably clean. The common room was lovely (large bay windows offering a magnificent view). The activities were high-quality and varied. The cost was reasonable (significantly lower than in Biarritz or Bayonne). While I can't yet comment on the food (other than the varied menus), it's reassuring to know she's in such good hands. So don't hesitate, I highly recommend this establishment; you won't be disappointed.

My brother, who has Down syndrome, was admitted to this facility as an emergency, the only one that could take him in quickly. Over time, I understood why: this facility is not recommended. There's a lack of staff, and the few who are there are quickly overwhelmed. Many are temporary workers, which leads to poor hygiene in the rooms, as well as inadequate washing and changing of residents. No activities are offered; residents are alone in front of the television all day. Even the healthcare professionals who come to provide care say that everything they do to help them walk is useless because there are no caregivers. As a result, the residents remain seated all day. This facility is very expensive, and frankly, the price is not worth what our loved ones experience, which is nothing at all. As one commenter said, if you love your loved ones, don't choose this facility because it's a death trap. My brother died at the end of September; he had stayed there for six months and had He lost weight and his zest for life. I filed a report with the Regional Health Agency (ARS) for all those still there, but have received no response to this day. His sister, Mrs. Galinet

INHUMANE. If you love your loved ones, don't leave them in this exorbitantly expensive death trap costing over €4,000/month. Between the malnutrition, the lack of care, attention, and hygiene, it was a truly awful experience. In fact, we only left our loved one there for a month, which speaks volumes. Human dignity and integrity are clearly not a priority for this establishment. And even upon leaving, they took double the agreed amount, €8,000... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We needed a place urgently, and the management was very responsive and reassuring. The staff are very friendly, and my dad is much better since he's been there. I highly recommend it.
