It's true, the exterior of this hospital doesn't do justice to what's inside. I spent a week there, and I would definitely go back. A dynamic team, with many staff members who strive to make the experience more pleasant. The outdated facilities aren't the fault of the healthcare staff; it's a matter of choices and funding. Personally, I found the staff there to be smiling (the second sun of Martinique!), efficient, and attentive. Thank you.

Good Lord, never again! How are the nursing assistants and nurses distributed between the second and third floors, and how are they selected? Because while the second floor was unbelievable, the third floor was a disaster! There was constant sniffling, visible irritation on their faces, and absolutely no care (I had a fever of 39.5°C from 10:15 am until 8:30 pm). "At this hour, I'm no longer able to do my job properly," they said, while I was being given an IV drip?! And on top of that, I went through a lot of ordeals in just two nights. Oh, and I almost forgot, is it normal for privacy to be disregarded? I asked the woman who was changing the beds to leave because I was naked and would like to get dressed, but my request was ignored! I left against medical advice because I was forced to endure this! In any case, I'm not going to let this go.

The medical secretary has been unable to get a phone call for a week now that I've been calling. And when I get there, they tell me I have to call to make an appointment with the doctor of someone who has been hospitalized for a week, and they have no feedback on their health. I've been battling for a week, with 50 calls a day, so 250 calls in a week. I don't understand anything. Am I the only one in this situation? Secondly, I park in the parking lot, and there's a woman perched in her office staring at me, looking at me, not ready to make a comment. For someone who works in social work, I don't understand how anyone can behave like that. You're almost volunteering.

If incompetence had a name......... Bordering on non-assistance...... After talking to the locals, even they complain about the medical infrastructure in their own country, and we understand why........
